OVERVIEW

Nína Dögg Filippusdóttir is an award-winning Icelandic actress, writer, and producer, and co-founder of the renowned Vesturport Theatre. Known for her versatility, she has performed on prestigious stages such as the Royal Shakespeare Company and BAM in New York, portraying iconic roles like Juliet, Blanche DuBois, and Iago.

In film and TV, Nína has starred in acclaimed productions, including 'THE SEA, 'TRAPPED', 'CHILDREN' (which she co-wrote and produced), 'HEARTSTONE', and the Norwegian hit series 'EXIT'. She recently portrayed Iceland’s former president, Vigdís Finnbogadóttir, in a celebrated mini-series.

Nína also created and produced the award-winning dramas 'FANGAR' and 'BLACKPORT', the latter earning the Grand Prix at Series Mania. With multiple Edda Awards and international accolades, she remains a leading force in Icelandic arts.
